Weinke, Julius Ferdinand (28 Feb. 1880 – 28 Jan. 1962)

Julius Ferdinand Weinke of Milan died Sunday, Jan. 28. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon, Feb. 1, at Peace Lutheran church, Rev. August Zalser officiating, and internment will be made in the parish cemetery.

The deceased was born in the town of Stettin February 28, 1880, and was married to Martha Wonderf in that town in 1903. They farmed in the town of Stettin until they moved onto a farm in the town of Johnson, Marathon county, in 1927. Since 1952, they lived with their children. The past four years, they lived with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Remus.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Sam (Erna) Remus of Athens, Mrs. Henry (Freida) Peter of Abbotsford and Mrs. Henry (Edith) Letman of Athens; two sons, Fred Weinke of Edgar and Alfred Weinke of Rib Lake; 16 grand children and 15 great grand children. Two brothers, Carl and August, preceded him in death.

The body will repose in the Lulloff Funeral Home until 11:00 A.M. February 1.
