Trelka, Stanley (4 Nov. 1920 8 Nov. 2008)

Stanley Trelka, 88, 2995 Trelka Lane, Junction City, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at Whispering Pines Assisted Living in Plover, where he had resided for the past fourteen months.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Junction City, with Rev. Augustine Bentil will officiating. The visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home, Junction City, and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. A parish prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Trelka was born Nov. 4, 1920, in the town of Linwood, Portage County, to John and Mary (Brotski) Trelka. He married Evelyn Eder July 3, 1946, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stevens Point. She died March 17, 2004. He farmed in the town of Eau Pleine while also working at Marathon Electric.

He is survived by his children Lawrence Trelka of Junction City, James Trelka of Junction City, Donna (Dale) Kurzinski of Mundelein, Ill., Joyce (Rod) Goldhahn of Green Bay, Susan Brown of Prospect Hills, N.C., Joseph (Lori) Trelka of Junction City, Gail (Mark) Prete of Chicago, Daniel (Sandy) Trelka of Sturgeon Bay and Mary (Conroy) Soik of Junction City. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Schmanski of Chicago and Josephine Czerlanis of Schaumburg, Ill.
