Karlen, Bonnie Ann (August 6, 1962 - May 9, 2009)

Bonnie Ann Karlen, 46, Marathon, died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at her home.

The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marathon.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bonnie's name.

Bonnie Ann Karlen, 46, Marathon, died Saturday, May 9, 2009, at her home. She was born Aug. 6, 1962, in Wausau, the daughter of Myron and Mary Ann (Bulczak) Karlen of Marathon.

Bonnie was a 1980 graduate of Marathon High School. She most recently became CO-owner of the Good Times Bar and Grill, Marathon. Among her many interests, she enjoyed camping, cooking out, riding her Harley Davidson, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and Nascar fan. Bonnie had a great love for animals, especially cats and dogs. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and especially her nephews, niece and great niece.

Survivors include her parents, Myron and Mary Ann Karlen, Marathon; one sister, Carla (Tony) Seliger, Marathon; one brother, Bryan (Barb) Karlen, Marathon; two nephews, Joshua and Dakota Karlen, Marathon; one niece, Katie (fiance, Eric Tucker) Seliger, Edgar; one great niece, Cassie Tucker, Edgar; her paternal grandmother, Lorraine Karlen, Marathon; her loving boyfriend, Mark Hughson, Marathon; two special friends, Mary and Gus; her cat, "Cali"; her dog, "Millie Girl", and many wonderful and caring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Alex Karlen; and her maternal grandparents, Rudy and Angeline Bulczak.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. The Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside.
