Lau, August H. (12 Nov. 1933 - 16 Mar. 2007)

August H. Lau, 73, town of Holton, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at his home near Abbotsford.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Hansen Funeral Home. Interment is at Hillside Cemetery in the Veterans' Field of Honor. VFW Post No. 1566 will provide military honors. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

August was born November 12, 1933, in Stratford. He was the son of Julius and Anna (Gust) Lau and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

August worked for the city of Milwaukee as foreman of the water department until of his retirement.

He is survived by brothers, Fritz Lau, Denver, Colo., Ernest (Betty) Lau, Rhinelander, Robert Lau, Midland, Mich., and sisters, Amelia Parker, McLeod, Texas, and Lucille (Bruce) Knoble, Marshfield.

Brothers, Otto, Henry, Julius Jr., William, Albert, Arthur and sisters, Tillie, Martha and Helen preceded August in death.
