Pilgrim, Alvin R. (14 Mar. 1919 - 14 May 2008)

Alvin R. Pilgrim, 89, Edgar, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at his home.

Alvin was a dairy farmer and had been employed at Marathon Electric prior to his retirement in 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Esther A. (Draeger) Pilgrim, Edgar; three children, Carol Stevenson, Edgar, Marvin (Mary Jane) Pilgrim and Eugene (Janice) Pilgrim, all of Marathon; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; siblings, Mildred Knutson, Mabel Punke, Elroy (Elaine) Pilgrim and William (Adeline) Pilgrim, all of Edgar, and Glenn (Louise) Pilgrim, Pillager, Minn.; other relatives and friends. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church on Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, and again from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church.
