Proue, Eileen M. (23 May 1925 - 13 Feb. 2006)

BLOOMER - Eileen M. Proue, age 80, passed away at her residence on Monday, February 13, 2006.

She was born on May 23, 1925, in Bloomer to William and Anna (Kolmer) Reischel. Eileen married Herbert Krueger on May 6, 1946, in Bloomer and, after his death, Gene Proue on October 9, 1971, in Stoughton, Wis. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and PCCW, Bloomer American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and the Bloomer Hospital Auxiliary. Eileen loved fishing, traveling, working and doing crafts, camping and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (John) Zenner of Spencer, Wis.; three sisters, Doris Schroetter of Bloomer, Janet Sandeno of Alexandria, Minn., and Barbara (Ron) Bohl of Tilden; three grandchildren, Eric (Vicki) Zenner, John (Diana) Zenner and Kelly (Cary) Hildebrandt; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Ada Reischel of Bloomer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Herbert and Eugene; and brother, Jerome Reischel.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon on Thursday, February 16, 2006, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer, with Father James Arthur officiating. Interment will be in the North Catholic Cemetery, Bloomer.

Friends may call from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer, where there will be a rosary service at 4:30 p.m. and a Christian wake service at 7 p.m.
