CHRISTIAN LARSON, Eau Claire. Came to Black River Falls in the Summer of 1871, and engaged in lumbering and logging until Dec. 25, of the same year. Was then for a year unable to work, on account of a broken leg. In 1873, he came to Eau Claire, driving a team for six months, and then clerking for A. A. Cutter in the shoe store for two years. He commenced business for himself in October, 1877, at Chippewa Falls, being in general mercantile business, and came from there to Eau Claire and established his present business in clothing, gents' furnishing goods, hats, caps, boots and shoes. Mr. Larson was born in Norway, Jan. 20, 1851, and came from there to Wisconsin. He was married in Chippewa Falls, Oct. 6. 1877, to Lena Rostad, who is also a native of Norway. They have one child, Florence. Mr. Larson is a member of the A. O. U. W.
