Andrew Larson, a section hand working on the section at Unity, while lifting on
a rail Monday morning accidentally let the end drop on one of his great toes.
He continued at his work all day suffering little inconvenience from the injury,
but in the evening when he came to remove his shoes and stockings it was found
that the toe was crushed completely off.
Doctor Freeman dressed the foot and left Larson in a comfortable condition,
minus one great toe.
