Anna Johnson (14 Feb 1884 - 22 Jul 1973)

Mrs. Anna Johnson, Dorchester, died at 3:50 p.m. Sunday at the Medford Memorial Hospital. She was 89 years of age.

Services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Peace United Church of Christ in Dorchester. The Rev. Milton G. Petzold, pastor, will officiate, with burial to follow in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home there.

Mrs. Johnson was born Feb. 14, 1884, in Mayville and was educated in the Dorchester area grade school (Hilltop). She was married Oct. 28, 1903, at her home to John Johnson who preceded her in death July 10, 1959.

The couple had farmed in the town of Mayville until 1939. They then resided in Abbotsford for a short time, until moving to Dorchester.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Seth (Ethelyn) White, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Hanford (Edith) Miller, Peru, Neb.; and Mrs. Ted (Ruth) Boeckler, Medford; two sons, Ernest Johnson, Route 1, Dorchester, and Orin Johnson, Bainbridge Island, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Elvira Boness, Racine; 17 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, seven sisters and six brothers.

She was a treasurer of the former Hilltop School and a member of Peace United Church of Christ and its Women's Guild.
