Irene Fritsche (8 Jan 1897 – 9 Apr 1963)

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Fritsche were held at 10 a. m. Monday, April 13, 1963, from Sacred Heart Catholic church, Stetsonville. The Rev. Father J. A. Seeboth, pastor, officiated at the rites, and the Very Rev. Msgr. Thomas F. Hayden, pastor of St. Louis Catholic church here, officiated at committal rites in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery, where interment was made.

Pallbearers were six of the deceased's nephews: Wilfred Rhyner, Wausau; Arnold Rhyner, Phillips; Daniel Gallistel, Ogema; Donald Rhyner and Gordon Rhyner, Westboro, and Raymond Gebert, Dorchester.

Mrs. Fritsche died at her home in the Town of Little Black last week Thursday, April 9. She had suffered a heart condition for some time prior to her death.

Irene Rhyner was born in Oshkosh, Jan 8, 1897, and spent her youth in the Town of Little Black, attending the Lawndale school. On Aug. 18, 1915, she and Henry Fritsche were married in the Holway Catholic Church, and they had made their home in the Town of Little Black, a few miles northwest of the village since.

She was a member of the Altar Society of Sacred Heart Church, and also of the Liberty Homemakers club.

Survivors include her widower two sons, Gilbert, Appleton, and Arthur, Town of Little Black; three daughters, Mrs. Adelbert (Arlene) Decker, Eau Claire; Mrs. Herbert Fischer (Lenore), Curtiss; and, Beverly, Town of Little Black; 15 grandchildren; five brothers, George Rhyner, Mosinee; Harry Rhyner, Stetsonville; Clarence of Rockford; Gilbert and Norman, of Westboro; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Gebert, Dorchester, and Mrs. Rudy Gallistel, Ogema.

Relatives and friends from away who attended the funeral came from Milwaukee, Shawano, Chippewa Falls, Wausau, Clintonville, Madison, Rochester and Rockford, Ill., Westboro, Ogema, Phillips, Oshkosh, Appleton, Neenah, Owen, Rib Lake, and Marshfield.
