26 ROAD AND VACINITY
By Mrs. Ed. Voelker

Ferd Cornwall of Illinois is visiting at the A. C. Hull home and will help A. C. with the haying.

Cpl. Eugene Chamberland of Anchorage, Alaska arrived home for a 30 day leave to attend the wedding of his brother Edward and to visit relatives and friends here. Seems good to see Eugene and the fancy jeep he made the trip home in. He traveled over 6000 miles.

Several of the neighbors of this community attended the Sitko-Hlavac wedding Saturday.

Some of the relatives of Mrs. Jac Rizzi pleasantly surprised her Saturday evening to remind her she had reached another year. A delicious lunch was served and the honored guest received many nice gifts.

Mrs. Henry Fisher of Tripoli and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Grasskopp and daughters of Sheboygan spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Dick and Grant Fisher.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bymers and son and Mr. and Mrs. George Badzinski spent Sunday at Black River fishing.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Voelker and daughters were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Byrl Lawrance of North Spencer and in the afternoon attended the Chili-Little Rose ball game at Little Rose.

Mr. and Mrs. Enos Cornwall, who have been in Oregon the past 14 months, have arrived in Spencer and were Saturday evening visitors at the Paul Bymers home.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Voelker and daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell McIlhattan were Saturday evening visitors at the Joe Bymers home.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stargardt and daughter Diane of Milwaukee, who have been visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Endries the past week returned [to] their home Saturday.
