Schjonneman, Mrs. Morgan (16 JAN 1886 – 19 FEB 1948)

Mrs. Schjonneman Laid to Rest

A large number of neighbors and friends attended the funeral services of Mrs. Morgan Schjonneman at the Unity Methodist Church last Tuesday. Rev. F. J. Smith and Rev. R. J. Fleming of Marshfield were the officiating pastors. Burial was made in the Town of Brighton.

Mrs. Schjonneman passed away at the St. Joseph Hospital Saturday morning after being ill the past five months.

She was born January 16, 1886, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Ayers, in the Town of Unity and was untied in marriage to Mr. Schjonneman October 3, 1906. She was a graduate of the Unity High school, a member of the Methodist Church and the Womans Society of Christian Service and a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

This community has been her home practically all of her life and she was held in high esteem by her neighbors and friends.

The quartet sang “Safe In The Arms of Jesus” and “Rock of Ages” and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Domer sang “Goodnight Here, But Good Morning Up There”. The singing was accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Tom Loughead.

The church was filled with many beautiful floral offerings and a memorial was given to the church in her memory.

Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Harley (Arlie) Christiansen, Marshfield; two sons, Anton, Unity; and Merlin, Colby; eight grandchildren; and three sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Belva Loney and Mrs. William Cammers, both of Colby; Mrs. Arthur Wisnosky and Jonas and Walter Ayer, Spencer; Owen Ayer, Goodman; and William Ayer, Loyal.
