Moose Peterson Gets Chevrolet-Olds Franchise, October 5, 1960

The grand opening of the Peterson Chevrolet Olds, Inc. garage in Black River Falls will be conducted on Thursday and Friday of this week. In addition to free coffee and doughnuts being served both days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be door prizes and drawings for them which will be held Saturday noon. Thursday has been designated as the day of the first showing of the 1961 Oldsmobile and Friday will be the day of the first showing of the 1961 Chevrolet.

Alan (Moose) Peterson who has been operating a used car lot north of the city on U. S. Highway 12 has been awarded the franchises for both Oldsmobile and Chevrolet cars and trucks. He extends a most cordial invitation to everyone to visit the garage on North Water Street, formerly known as the Black River Sales Company.

Mr. Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Peterson managed the O'Hearn Auto Company at Melrose before establishing the used car business at Black River Falls which he is continuing to operate. The new phone number at the downtown showroom is 3915 and the new phone number at the used car lot is 3115. The Texaco Service Station which shares the downtown building will continue as usual with Roger Johnson, Larry Peterson and Shorty Casper on the staff. With Mr. Peterson will be Gene Mason, Lela Westerfield, Elvin Nerby and Robert Horswill.
