Wagner, Bridget C. (4 March 1928 – 24 February 2009)

Bridget C. Wagner, 80, New Prague, MN, died Feb. 24, 2009, at Mala Strana Nursing Home in New Prague.

Bridget was born March 4, 1928, in Pearl Lake, MN, to Joseph Kunkel and Rose Holthaus. She attended school at Pearl Lake.

She married Wilfred A. Wagner Sept. 21, 1948, in Luxemburg, MN. Bridget was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress at Queen of peace Hospital for about 10 years. She was a member of the Catholic Aid Association, N.E.W. Lions Club, Christian Mothers, K of C Auxiliary, hospital auxiliary, bloodmobile and St. Nicholas Choir. Bridget played piano, drums and accordion for various bands, including the Dale Pexa Band.

She is survived by her husband, Wilfred Wagner; four sons, Jerome (Shirley) Wagner of Black River Falls, Dennis Wagner, Eagan, MN, Alvin (Shari) Wagner, Albert Lea, MN, Brian (Michelle) Wagner, Albert Lea, MN; five daughters, Jane Wandersee, Mankato, MN, Sharon Wagner, New Prague, MN, Diane (Patrick) Graham, Black River Falls, Carol (F. Patrick) Fraher, Northfield, MN., Rosanne (Bruce) Keillor, Ravenna, OH; 39 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; two brothers, Victor (Viola) Kunkel, St. Cloud, MN, Al (Sadie) Kunkel, St. Cloud, MN; five sisters, Beatrice Ackley, St. Augusta, MN, Hermina (Kenneth) Albers, Luxemburg, MN, Veronica (Richard) Kulus, Plymouth, MN, Joan (Leonard) Helget, Clearwater, MN, and Delrose (Gene) Kuykendal, Temecula, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Harold, Donald, David and Daniel.

Services were held Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at the Church of St. Nicholas, New Market MN. Father Daniel Haugen officiated. Burial was at St. Nicholas Cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Eric Wandersee, Brandon Wagner, Aaron Wagner, Matthew Graham, Donald Ramm, Jacob Wagner, Jonathan Keillor and Derek Wagner.
