Mr. Fredrick was born July 2, 1938, in Mosinee, a son of Wayne and Sylvia (Schilling) Fredrick. He attended Mosinee High School.

On Aug. 22, 1959, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Steven Point, Raymond was united in holy marriage to the former Kathleen A. Pflugradt. Butch retired from the Weyerhaeuser Company after 42 years of service.

Ray was a devoted husband, loving father and grandpa. He cherished the time he could spend with his family; he was especially fond of attending his grandchildren's sporting events or taking them to the races. Ray was also an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Kathleen Fredrick, Lindsey; children, Randy (Tammy) Fredrick, Lindsey, Jerry (Lorrie) Fredrick, Arpin, Theresa (Derrick) Backaus, Marshfield, and Connie (Jason) Smith, Chippewa Falls; 15 grandchildren, Chad, Tanya, Jessica, Melissa, James, Gene, Carl, Jerome, Christine, Lauren, Kimberly, Olivia, Sierra, Austin and Fischer; eight great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Easton, Kaitlin, Lucas, Grady, Chase, Trevor and Izah. Brothers David Fredrick, Virginia, Donald (Carol) Fredrick, Alton, Ill., Wally (Carol) Fredrick, Wausau, and Charles Fredrick of California further survive Ray.

One brother, Bill, preceded Ray in death. A memorial will be established in his name at a later date.
