ELI E. WINCH, superintendent hub and spoke factory, at Marshfield, for the Webster Manufacturing Company of Menasha; also in charge of all their business west of Stevens Point. He was born, April 20, 1848, in Wilmington, Essex Co., N.Y. His father, Samuel R. Winch, was born at the same place, April 18, 1821. In 1856 the family removed to Illinois, and in November of the same year came to Rubicon, Dodge Co., Wis., from there to Fond du Lac, where he remained five years, then to Charleston, Calumet Co., where he follows farming. Eli E. commenced to work for the company, at Menasha, in 1872. Worked before that at Fond du Lac about seven years. He was married, October 28, 1877, to Miss Orpha Willey, of Fond du Lac. Have two children.
