Miller, DuWayne W. (20 May 1930 - 8 June 2001)

 

DuWayne W. Miller, 71, of 8241 County Road Y in Marshfield, died at 2:05 a.m. June 9, 2001, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

 

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Mon. at St. John’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles P. Stoetzel, pastor, officiating. Music will be provided by Suzanne Golden, organist, and St. John’s Church Funeral Choir.

Burial will be at noon on Tues. at Calvary Cemetery in Eau Claire. The Rev. John A. Schulz will officiate.

 

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sun. at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Mon. at the church. St. John’s Parish Prayer Service will be held at 4 p.m. Sun. at the funeral chapel.

 

He was born May 20, 1930, in Marshfield to Anthony and Dorothy (nee Wolf) Miller. He attended St. John’s School and Marshfield Senior High School.

 

DuWayne and Bernice P. Ploeckelman exchanged wedding vows on Feb. 6, 1951, in Marshfield. He retired from Weyerhaeuser Company of Marshfield in 1992 after 14 years of service.

 

Surviving are his wife, Bernice Miller, his son, DuWayne (Leatha) Miller of Eau Claire; two grandchildren, Kevin and Kari, both of Eau Claire, and five sisters, Donna (Peter) Breu of Marshfield, Carol (Alvin) Kundinger of Marshfield, Delores (James) Kundinger of Auburndale, Joyce (John) Holden of Marshfield, and Doris (Dave) Nuernberger of Sheboygan Falls. 


He was predeceased by his parents and one sister in infancy.
