Weinfurtner, Patricia I. (11 June 1920 - 4 Mar. 2009)

Patricia I. Weinfurtner, 88, of Marshfield, died on Wed., March 4, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Mon. at St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles D. Stoetzel officiating. Suzanne Golden will be the organist along with St. John's Funeral Choir. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Her grandsons Geoffrey, Jeremy and Brian Weinfurtner, Justin Kampin, Bert and Steve Sugayan will be serving as the pallbearers.

Visitations will be on Sun. from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) and again on Mon. at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services. There will be a combined rosary services at 4 p.m. Sun. at the funeral home by the parish and Parish Council of Catholic Women Society.

Patricia was born on June 11, 1920, in Wausau to Dayne and Gladys (LaVake) Morrison.

She was united in marriage to Reuben E. "Pete" Weinfurtner on Feb. 24, 1940, in Decorah, Iowa. He died on May 16, 1984.

Pat was a homemaker and raised her family. She then worked seasonally at Figi's for many years. They enjoyed spending time at their cottage on Castle Rock Flowage with her family and friends.

Pat was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Parish Council of Catholic Women and the Badger 624 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Marshfield.

She is survived by her children, Charlotte "Chuckie" (Norberto) Sugayan of Southfield, Mich., Peter (Jalayne) Weinfurtner of Marshfield, Judi (Jerry) Kampin of Chili and Jerry (Janet) Weinfurtner of Littleton, Colo.; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four children, Harold "Butch," Mary, Tom and Debbie Weinfurtner; and one grandson, Travis Weinfurtner.
