Peetz, Marie A. (Andruszkiewicz) (May 29, 1930 - January 26, 2012)

Marie A. Peetz, age 81, of Thorp, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at Miller Alternative Care in Thorp.

Marie was born on May 29, 1930 on the family farm in Thorp to the late Leon and Wanda (Przybylski) Andruszkiewicz.

She grew up in and attended area rural schools in Thorp, then worked in a local restaurant. On October 22, 1949, she was united in marriage to Bernard Peetz at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. The couple resided in the Gilman area where they farmed and raised their family.


Marie is survived by her husband, Bernard, of Thorp; five children, Linda (Doug) Mikolainis of Richfield, Bruce (Deborah) and Leon (Chris) Peetz, both of Gilman, Ann (Bob) Dieter of Roanoke, Virginia, and Jerry (Allison) Peetz of Brown Deer; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Marion (Sheila) Andruszkiewicz of Holcombe, and Leo (Lorraine), Frank (Marlys) and Louis (Karen) Andruszkiewicz, all of Thorp.


Services were held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman, with Fr. John Long officiating. Burial was at the parish cemetery. Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.
