Donald Radtke, 77, Carthage, Ill, died on Saturday, Aug. 13.

A memorial service will be held in Rib Lake at a later date.

Donald F. Radtke, 77, of Carthage, Ill., died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

Born June 29, 1934, in Medford, Wis., he was the son of Fred and Irene (Ziemke) Radtke.

On May 25, 1963, he married Elizabeth Decker in Rib Lake, Wis.

Mr. Radtke was a butcher and with his wife owned and operated a grocery store in Westboro, Wis. for 27 years. He retired in 1994. He graduated from High School in Rib Lake. He served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Cheri Semrau of Fort Myers, Fla.; three sons, Donald Radtke and Kevin Radtke, both of Rib Lake, and Charles Radtke of Medford; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

No visitation is planned. The body has been cremated.

The memorial service for Mr. Radtke will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage. Burial will be in Rib Lake at a later date.

A memorial has been established.
