Bacha, Andrew (May 17, 1926 - September 29, 2011)
Andrew Bacha, 85, Curtiss, formerly of Lublin, died Thursday, September 29, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
Andrew was born May 17, 1926, in Lublin to the late Elias and Eva (Zaksiewski) Bacza.
He graduated from Withee High School and on June 24, 1950, he married Elizabeth “Betty” Albrecht, in Medford.
He farmed most of his life in the town of Ford, and after retirement the couple moved to Curtiss in 1993. He enjoyed playing sports as a young man.
In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by five children, Judy Bacha, Belleville, Patti (Mike) McKenzie, Plymouth, Jayne Bacha, Beford, NH, David (Sharon) Bacha, Lublin, and Kelli (Ron) Karpinski, Oshkosh; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Gajda, Thorp; and a brother, Mike Bacza, Schiller Park, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 6, at Holy Assumption Russian Orthodox Church in Lublin with Father Ted Wojcik presiding.
Interment will follow at the Meadowbrook Cemetery in Gilman. A visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
The Gilman Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
