Kain, Dorothy Ann (Gojmerac) (May 18, 1929 - March 31, 2011)

Former Rib Lake resident Dorothy Ann Kain, 81, Neenah, died on Thursday, March 31.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 2 at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Neenah, with Rev. Richard Allen officiating. Interment was in Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.


The former Dorothy Gojmerac was born on May 18, 1929 in the Town of Greenwood to the late George and Mary (Yarnovich) Gojmerac.

She was a 1947 graduate of Rib Lake High School, a 1949 graduate of Taylor County Teachers College in Medford, earned a degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and then earned her master's degree at UW-Oshkosh.


On October 12, 1957 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Rib Lake, she married Wayne C. Kain, who survives. She taught elementary education at the Ward School in Rib Lake and Kiel and Neenah schools for 26 years.


In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, John (Karen) of Neenah; three daughters, Mary Ann (Jerry) LaPine of Oakfield and Lisa Stadtmueller and Susie (David) Schindler, both of Neenah; a sister, Christina Roelke of Millington, Tenn.; a brother, Dr. Walter (Eleanor) of Madison; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Gojmerac of Rib Lake and Stella Gojmerac of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and seven grandsons, Justin Kain, Tom LaPine, Bryan, Matthew and Mike Stadtmueller, and Daniel and Jacob Schindler.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ceranski; four brothers, Joseph Sr., George Jr., Charles Sr. and Albert; two brothers-in-law, Nick Ceranski and Leon Roelke; and two sisters-in-law, Bernice Gojmerac and Darlene Gojmerac.
