Galetka, Marie Frances (July 26, 1938 - February 13, 2010)

 

Former Medford resident, Marie Frances Galetka, 71, Oak Creek, died Saturday, Feb. 13. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Feb. 16 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville, with Rev. Frederick Brost officiating. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

 

The former Marie Erben was born July 26, 1938 to the late Frank and Barbara (Hoffmann) Erben.

 

On January 23, 1960, she married Gordon Galetka, who survives.

 

She worked for Northwest Airlines for four years, and was a children's library aide in Oak Creek

 

She volunteered her time to church, elderly, children and anyone in need.

 

In addition to her husband, survivors include four children, Greg of Muskego, Linda (Mark) Coe of Rice Lake, Judy (Ken) Hedler of Oak Creek and Nancy Kordus of Franklin; two sisters, Esther Morgan and Patricia (Don) Duddles; seven grandchildren, Forrest and Shannon Galetka, both of Muskego, Stephanie (Seth Quiggle) of Shakopee, Minn., Vanessa Coe of Minneapolis, Minn., Austin and Jeremy Hedler, both of Oak Creek, and Brittany Kordus of Franklin; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald.

 

Molthen-Bell & Sons Funeral Home of South Milwaukee assisted the family with arrangements.
