Farkas, Thomas David (11 Dec. 1954 - 21 Apr. 2009)

Thomas David Farkas, 54, of Medford, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center, Chippewa Falls.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, at the Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home, Medford. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Rib Lake. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday.

Thomas was born Dec. 11, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Joseph and Julia (Karaba) Farkas. He attended Newbury Grade School and High School, graduating in 1973. He lived in Florida from 1981 until 1983. Thomas married Rose Ann Appel on March 31, 1998, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford. He was employed as a production worker at Black River Industries for more than 14 years, from 1992 until 2007, cleaned for a short time at Wadal Plastics and had been employed briefly at Neillsville Foundry.

He is survived by his wife, Rose, and stepdaughter, Crystal of Birnamwood.

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake is serving the family.
