Niggemann, Marian Loretta (26 Mar. 1919 – 5 Oct. 2008)

RIB LAKE -- Marian Loretta Niggemann, 89, of Chelsea died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at the Golden Living Center, Rib Lake.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 9, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford. Interment will be in Chelsea Community Cemetery, Chelsea.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a parish prayer service and rosary at 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home, Rib Lake, and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Marian was born March 26, 1919, in Chelsea on the family homestead to John and Catherine (Kestler) Mayer. She was employed as a nurses' aide at Medford Hospital. Marian married George Niggemann on Nov. 16, 1940, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Chelsea.

She is survived by four sons, Duane Niggemann, Dennis (Diane) Niggemann, Norbert (Nancy) Niggemann and George (Gale) Niggemann, all of Chelsea; five daughters, Geraldine "Gerri" (Robert) Wennerstrand, Warroad, Minn., Marian "Midge" (Henry) Krause, Westboro, Eileen (Rodger) Ulrich, Chelsea, Roberta "Bert" (Ron) Juedes, Medford, and Rita (Roger) Juedes, Stetsonville; two brothers, John (Florence) Mayer, Chelsea, and Ervin (Nona Rae) Mayer, Neenah; three sisters, Kathryn Niggemann, Milwaukee, Lorraine Nelson, Chelsea, and Delores (Ed) Sackman, Westboro; 34 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
