Nehiba, Lorraine (Thomsen) (April 25, 1922 - December 1, 2009) 

Lorraine "Shnooks" A. Nehiba, 87, Medford, died Friday, Dec. 11 at Memorial Nursing Home in Medford, where she had resided since September. No services will be held. Inurnment will take place at a later date. 

The former Lorraine Thomsen was born April 25, 1922 in Deer Creek to the late William L. and Barbara (Berger) Thomsen. 

On April 25, 1942 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Parsonage in Medford, she married Albert Walter Nehiba, who preceded her in death in 1984. She was a homemaker. 

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. 

Survivors include a son, Jim (Midge) of Medford; three sisters, Margaret Frischman, Evelyn Hartman and Clara Cypher, all of Medford; a sister-in-law, Beverly Thomsen of Medford; two step-grandsons, Troy Pugesek of Medford and Terry (Robin) Pugesek of Marion, Iowa; and three step-great-grandsons. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers-in-law, Wilhelmena (Joseph) Boeck, Marie (Leonard) Bischoff, Josephine Jochimsen, Eldor Frischman, Harvey Hartman and Clarence Cypher; and a brother, William. 

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
