Wesle-Noth, Florence A. (December 5, 1918 - September 5, 2008)

 

Former Medford area resident Florence A. Wesle-Noth, 89, Menomonee Falls, died Friday, Sept. 5 at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence, S.C.

 

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls. Graveside committal services will be held Wednesday, October 1 at 1 p.m. at Medford Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. Randal Jeppesen officiating.

 

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of the service.

 

The former Florence Wesle was born December 5, 1918 in Medford to the late Herman and Elizabeth (Hoefner) Wesle. She was a 1936 graduate of Medford High School. She worked at Hurd Millwork in Medford.

 

On February 26, 1950 in Racine, she married Melvin Raymond Julius Noth, who preceded her in death in 1998. She was a long time resident of Menomonee Falls. In the fall of 2007 she went to South Carolina to visit her daughter, then remained there until the time of her death.

 

She enjoyed people, animals and was a Bucky Badger fan.

 

Survivors include a daughter, Julie (Peter) Janke of Gresham, S.C.; godchild, Gordon (Alberta) Herrick of Fresno, Calif.; life long friends, Fuzzy and Billy Brunn of Medford; cousins; and other relatives and friends in the Medford area.

 

Memorials may be made to Guide Dogs for the Blind of San Rafael, Calif., Humane Society of Florence, S.C., or Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word of Florence.

 

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with local arrangements.
