Buchholz, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel L. (56th - 26 June 1968)

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel L. Buchholz of Loyal were guests of honor at a picnic dinner held at the Greenwood Park, June 9, in honor their 56th wedding anniversary. The picnic was planned by their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Meinhardt of Greenwood.

Daniel Buchholz and Sarah Bredlow were both born in Monroe County, he near Wilton and she near Ontario. Mrs. Buckholz attended Ontario High School and did housework in the area of her earlier years. Mr. Buchholz attended the University of Wisconsin, where he took a short course in butter making, and was employed as a buttermaker at Wilton, Hoffman Corners and in the surrounding area for several years.

They were united in marriage at the United Brethren Church in Ontario on June 26, 1912. In 1920, they began farming, moving onto the farm on which they presently reside in 1924. Although no longer actively engaged in farming, both enjoy gardening and working with flowers. Mrs. Buchholz also enjoys crocheting and embroidering.

The Buchholz’s are parents of three daughters: Lorraine, who died in infancy; Miss Arlene Buchholz, at home; and Mrs. Clarence (Vera) Meinhardt of Greenwood.

Those who were present for the occasion included relatives from Racine, Ontario, Norwalk, Tomah, Ladysmith, Greenwood and Loyal.
