Corbet-Rosenthal

At 10:00 o’clock in the morning, the church of St. Peter and Paul, Wisconsin Rapids, was the scene of the wedding of Miss Frances Rosenthal of Wisconsin Rapids, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Rosenthal of Kellner and Craig C. Corbet son of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Corgett [Corbet?] of Bancroft formally of Spencer. The altar was adorned with flowers and Bernadine Speltz sang “On This Day”, “ Oh Beautiful Mother”, “Ave Marie” “O Lord I Am Not Worthy”, and “Lanis Angelicus; the organist was Mrs. C. O. Burt of Wisconsin Rapids.

The bride was given away by her brother, Steven Rosenthal of Nekoosa. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Charles W. Gille. The bride wore a wedding gown of ivory satin, colonial styled with small collar buttoned to waist and tailored sleeves, bodice and waist with full skirt and long train, a finer tip veil and cap effect and four clusters of orange blossoms on it, she carried a colonial bouquet of lilies, gladiolas and sweet peas, all white.

The maid of honor Miss Delores Rosenthal, and the bridesmaids, Margaret Nienfeldt, Wisconsin Rapids, Margaret Dorshorst, Rudolph, and Patricia McCabe, Waldo, Wisconsin, were all dressed in light blue marquisette over fushia satin in colonial style, their bouquets were white carnations and lavender sweet peas.

Ring bearer was Eugene Rosenthal a nephew of the bride, carrying the rings on a white satin pillow. The flower girl was Judy Jesse of Port Edwards wearing a net gown with fitted bodice and full ruffled skirt. She carried a small colonial bouquet of white carnations and lavender sweet peas.

The best man was Frances McCabe of Waldo, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Rogert Rosenthal, Stanley Rosenthal and Edward Marack all of Wisconsin Rapids.

A reception was held at the Holy Rosary Catholic church and hall where dinner and supper was served to two hundred, dancing followed.

The groom is employed at Consolidated W. P and Paper Co., Wisconsin Rapids, the bride is employed at Normington in Wisconsin Rapids.

The bride’s mother wore a teal blue crepe while the grooms mother wore a figured grey jersey.

A public wedding dance was held at Rudolph community hall with music by Elwin Melhberk orchestra.

McDCabe, Waldo, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sherfinski, Brokaw, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Cal Neuhaus, Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. John Sherfinski, Brokaw, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Fimm and family, Milwaukee, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Corbett, Bancroft, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Golla, Bancroft, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Mildred Bender, Bancroft, Wis.

The young couple are enjoying a trip in Southern Wisconsin and will be at home to their friends on June 9th.
