Denk, Caroline (Aug 1961)

In a marriage ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Saturday, Caroline Ann Denk became the bride of Thomas Roman Annen. Rev. Edward F. Hartung officiated at 10 o’clock Nuptial High Mass for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Denk of Greenwood and the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Annen.

For her wedding day the bride chose a floor length gown tiers of lace extending into a chapel train. The bodice featured a sweet heart neckline with long fingertip sleeves. Her fingertip veil was caught to a crown of pearls and she carried red roses and white carnations in a garland style.

Mrs. Sandra Denk came from Milwaukee to be matron of honor and she was seen in a white street length dress accented with a pink satin cummerbund. She held pink and white carnations. Bridal aides included the bride’s sisters, Corrine Denk and Mildred Denk of Greenwood and the groom’s sister, Deborah Annen of Loyal.

Attending the groom were his brother, John Annen, of St. Paul, Minnesota, as best man and the bride’s brother, Romaine Denk of Milwaukee, Larry Rueth, Loyal, and the groom’s cousin, Johnny Pink, of Lancaster as groomsmen. Wedding guests were seated by Bobby Denk, a cousin of the bride, of Alma Center and Joe Pink, a cousin of the groom of Lancaster.

Following the rite a dinner for the immediate family was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a reception and supper were also given for the friends and relatives. A wedding dance was held at the Silver Dome Ballroom in the evening.

The bride who is a 1959 graduate of Greenwood High School, is employed at the Weinbrennner Corporation at Marshfield. Her husband is a 1959 graduate of Loyal High School and he is employed at Marshfield Homes in Marshfield. After a honeymoon trip through northern Wisconsin they will be at home at 1000 A South Cherry Street, Marshfield.
