Christman, Agatha (02 SEP 1914 – 22 MAY 1963)

Mrs. Anton Christman, 67, Loyal, died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday in Neillsville Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since March 23.  Cause of death was due to a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday morning in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Rev. Norbert E. King officiating and burial was made in the parish cemetery.  A general rosary service was held at the Myre Funeral Home Thursday evening.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Heun, Ervin Heun, Bert Brown, Frank Degenhardt, Leo Degenhardt and Lawrence Davel.

The former Agatha Lubinski was born September 1, 1895 in Humbird and was married at Winona, Minnesota on September 20, 1932 to Anton Christman who survives her.  After the marriage they came to Loyal where she has lived all her life.  She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a brother, Alexander Lubinski, LaCrosse; four sisters, Mrs. Louie (Thekla) Stern, Ellsworth; Mrs. Fred (Regina) Pineault and Mrs. Walter (Leonora) Ford, Minneapolis and Mrs. Earl (Margaret) Pierce, Neillsville.  Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Attending the services from out of town were Mrs. Regina Pineault, James Pineault, Omar Lemm, Mrs. William Laitinen, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Dinger, St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Lubinski, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lubinski and son, LaCrosse; Mrs. Herb Yanisch, Prescott; Louis Stern, Ellsworth; Earl Pierce, Ted Pierce, Neillsville; Albert Flick, Mrs. Roy Abrahamson, Fairchild; Mrs. William Abersold, Humbird; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Reichenbach, Alma Center; Mrs. James Reichenbach, Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Anton Gosar, Mrs. Mary Gosar, Mrs. I.G. Sladich, Mrs. Frank Artac, Greenwood.
