Krahn, Linda A. (19 MAY 1908 - 4 APR 2002)
 

Linda Krahn, 93, Loyal, Clark County, died on Thursday, April 4, 2002, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, where she had resided since January. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m.on Monday, April 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. The Rev. Daniel E. Zimmerman officiated. Burial was in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were her husband's fellow dartball players.

Linda Anna Ellen Schroeder was born on May 19, 1908, in the town of Sherman, to Albert and Johana (nee Priebe) Schroeder. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, and received her education at Griffith School. She was confirmed on May 6, 1922, at Salem Lutheran Church, Veefkind. She married Walter Krahn on Oct. 28, 1931, at Salem Lutheran Church. They lived for two years on her husband's father's farm. They moved to Loyal on Oct. 4, 1933, and started the Krahn and Schroeder Nursery. In 1934, they became members of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, the church custodian and a member of the TLCW.

Survivors include her husband, Walter, Loyal two sons, Verlyn (Beverly) Krahn, Monroe Center, Ill., and Ronald (Patricia) Krahn, Indianola, Iowa four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
