Brown, Bertha (1880 - 13 JUL 1891)

Again the dreaded disease of diphtheria claims a victim. This time Bertha, an 11 year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Brown, living near Pennock's spoke mills was the victim. She was taken sick Friday or Saturday and on Monday died. Tuesday morning the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery. This is the third child who has died within a year of diphtheria.
