Payson, William Howard (1844 - 15 SEP 1888)

Died, at Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., Sept. 15, 1888, Mr. William Howard Payson, after a long illness, in his 44th year.

He was an old soldier who had been severely wounded and who consequently draws a large pension. His wife was also very ill. He took care of her as long as he could, and when she was removed to the home of her mother some two weeks ago, he rapidly sank away into his grave. Quite a large family of children still survive. The funeral was attended from the residence, led by Rev. W.T. Hendren.
