Wicker, Marion E. (SEP 1853 - 11 OCT 1883)

Died, at the family residence, in Colby, on Thursday, the 11th of Oct., 1883, of peritonitis, Miss Marion E., second daughter of J. F. and Adelaide A. Wicker, aged 30 Years and 1 month.

Deceased was a sister of Mrs. Chas. F. Grow, of this city (Neillsville, Clark County). Mrs. Grow was called to the bedside of her sister some two weeks ago and remained with her until her death. Between them was the most fond and living attachment. The Phonograph says: "Her death has cast a gloom over the entire village, as all know so well how much her presence will be missed in every gathering. The severity of this loss on the afflicted family can only be realized by those who have suffered a similar affliction. Doubly severe falls the affliction on the sorrowing sister who has always been the constant companion of May at all social gatherings.
