EDWARD SMOLINSKI


Edward Smolinski, 78, formerly of Chicago and Mead Lake, Clark County, died at his home in Mission, Texas, on Thursday, June 20, 1996. He was cremated and a memorial service was held Saturday, June 22, 1996, in Mission, Texas.


Edward Smolinski was born on Feb. 5, 1918, in Chicago, to Steve and Christine Smolinski. He received his education in Chicago and attended Northwestern University.


He married Annie Drozt on April 26, 1942. He was in the Air Force in WWII. He was a retired meat Cutter and butcher.


Survivors include his wife, Annie one daughter, Bonnie (Steve) Sovern, Marion, Iowa three grandchildren, Keri Sovern, Grant (Lara) Sovern, and Eric (Ashley) Sovern and two sisters, Helen (Edward) Koza and Jennie (Raymond) Hoffman.


He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
