Roth, Raphael F. (5 APR 1922 - 13 DEC 2001)


Raphael F. Roth, 79, Whitefish Bay, died on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, Dec. 17, at Holy Family Church. Interment was in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Raphael F. Roth was born April 5, 1922, in Loyal, Clark County, to George and Estella (nee Hemphill) Roth. He attended St. Anthony's Grade School and graduated from Loyal High School in 1940. Following service in the U.S. Navy during World War II, he attended Marquette University and was awarded BA and MBA degrees. He was a longtime resident of Whitefish Bay and was retired from the Ladish Corp. He was a 40-year member of Holy Family Catholic Parish and active in many church functions.

Survivors include his wife of 51 yeas, Rita Roth two sons, John (Mary) Roth and Daniel (Nancy) Roth, three daughters, Ellen (William) Weber, Betsy (Anthony) Wojoicki, and Peggy (Jon) Peterson 11 grandchildren two brothers, Virgil Roth and Joseph (Ora Lee) Roth and three sisters, Margaret Foster, Rita Foster and Loretta (Bob) Heiting.

Preceding him in death were his parents three brothers, George, Leonard and Donald and one sister, Bernadine Foster.
