ROBERT STARK


Robert H. Stark, 89, Marshfield, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 1996, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been admitted on Feb. 2. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, 1996, at Faith Lutheran Church, Marshfield. Rev. Gary Hedding officiated. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery.


Robert H. Stark was born on Sept. 21, 1906, in Shawano County, to Charles and Anna (nee Grube) Stark. He received his education in Shawano County schools. He moved with his family to the Town of Mead in Clark County in 1920. He married Elsie Dahl on June 20, 1937, in Granton. They farmed in the Town of Mead until 1946, when they moved to rural Granton, where they farmed until 1971. After retirement in 1971, they moved to Marshfield. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in June 1987. His wife preceded him in death on Aug. 13, 1987. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and had severed on the school boards in Greenwood and Granton.


Survivors include one daughter, Marcella Stark, Dallas, Texas and two sons, Lawrence Stark, Pullman, Wash and Alan Stark, Los Angeles, Cal.


He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers and two sisters.


Hansen Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
