Sladich, Edward (30 MAY 1950 - 31 JAN 1992)


Edward (Ignatuis) Sladich, 41, Sheboygan, formerly of Greenwood, was found dead of natural causes, Friday, Jan. 31, 1992. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, 1992, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood, Rev. James Lesczynski officiated and burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Full military rites were conducted by the Greenwood American Legion. Pallbearers were James Bogdonovich, Duane Strey, Fred Latuvnik, Frank Sladich, Tom Shaw, and Robert Trunkel.

Edward (Ignatuis) Sladich was born May 30, 1950, in Greenwood, to Ignatuis and Anne (nee Gosar) Sladich. He received his education in Greenwood, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1968. He was employed at Kohlers as an inspector. From 1969-1972, he served in the Army with one year at Vietnam. Awards received were two Oak Leaf Clusters and a Bronze Star. He married Kathy Beck at Sheboygan in 1971. They later divorced.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Anne Sladich, Greenwood two sons, Ryan and Kevin, both of Sheboygan five sisters, Mrs. William T. (Donna) Hurt Jr., Shreveport, Louisiana Mary Sladich, Neillsville Mrs. Duane (Jeanne) Strey, Granton Mrs. Rita Rybski, Greenwood and Mrs. James (Anne) Bogdonovich, Willard and three brothers, Michael Sladich, William Sladich and Jerome Sladich, all of Greenwood.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
