Tauschek, Raymond P. (1915 - 1983)


Raymond P. Tauschek, 67, of 215 Main St., Greenwood, Clark County, died at 3:40 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 1983, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, of a coronary heart condition. He had been a patient there since March 27.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 1983, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. Officiating was Rev. Michael G. Mertens of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood, and Rev. Robert W. Nelson of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. Ralph Borowski was the organist and Kenneth Breu the soloist.

Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Wayne Herdrich, Thomas Breu, James R. Tauschek, John P. Tauschek, Harold Tauschek and Paul Anderson. Rembs/Kundinger Chapel, Marshfield, handled arrangements.

A rosary service was at 8:15 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.

Raymond Tauschek was born to John F. and Theresa T. (nee Bauer) Tauschek, on July 4, 1915, in Marshfield. He received his education at St. John's Parochial school and Purdy Junior High school.

On Feb. 3, 1943, he and Ann T. Breu were married at St. John's catholic Church. He was employed as a truck driver for Stanley's Beer Depot, Inc. of Hewitt. Since 1963, he has owned and operated Ray Ann's Tavern in Greenwood.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood.

Surviving him are his wife, Ann one son, CWO3 Raymond Tauschek, Jr., aboard the U.S.S. Carrier Midway, U.S. Navy, with operations from Yokohama, Japan two grandchildren four brotehrs, Clem and Joseph, both of Marshfield, Leonard of Janesville and Norman of Beloit and two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Betty) LaBonne of Marshfield and Mrs. Neil (Gerry) Anderson of Oshkosh.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers.
