The Family of John P. & Augusta (Tesmer) Olson

In 1905, John P. and Augusta Tena Olson were living in a mortgage free home in the village of Abbotsford, Clark Co., WI.  He was forty-five and she was thirty-four.  Both of them were born in Wisconsin as were all of their children.  His parents were born in Norway and her mother and father were natives of Germany.  John was employed full time as an oil man and Augusta's days were filled caring for their home and daughters: thirteen year old Julia E., eleven year old Edith L. and four year old Edith L.  A twenty-eight year old lodger, Carl A. Boreson, also lived with this family and he was employed 9 months of that year as a railroad clerk.  In 1915, a number of Lutheran families in and near Abbotsford, organized a congregation in the village and John P. Olson was one of the charter members.

Augusta Tena and John P. Olson are buried in Abbotsford, WI.
