Humes, Nellie Mae (Marriage - 26 DEC 1900)

On Wednesday evening, Dec. 26, 1900, at 6 o'clock, Geo. W. Bandelow and Miss Nellie Mae Humes were united in marriage at the groom's home in the town of Pine Valley, Clark County. Rev. A. V. Ingham performed the ceremony. The house was full of guests, several of them from the former homes of the bride and groom, and other relatives and friends in this vicinity. There were many beautiful and valuable presents and the occasion a most happy one. Mr. Bandelow last spring came here from near Fond du Lac, and purchased the Clark farm south of the city, one of the finest country homes in this part of the county. The bride, whose former home is at Freeport, Wis., has during several months past been in the dressmaking business in Neillsville, and has by her lady-like manner acquired many friends. The newly wedded couple has already gone to housekeeping. Such homes are a valuable acquisition to a community, and it is greatly to Clark County's advantage to have good people coming here to live. They are welcome.
