REIL 60th ANNIVERSARY

-----ANNIVERSARIES-----

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Reil celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 12.

Ben Reil and Edith Olson were married in Colby on Sept. 12, 1933. They moved to Oshkosh in 1937. Mr. Reil worked at the Waite Carpet Co. until he started his own business in 1941. He retired in 1975. Mrs. Reil worked at the Excelsior Plant and Social Services, retiring in 1981.
They have one son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Reil six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

They were both avid bowlers and are past presidents of the Eagles Club. Mr. Reil also enjoyed fishing trips to Canada.

A family reunion was held in August at the home of the couple to celebrate the event. Relatives came from Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Alabama, Texas and Illinois. About 150 guests were present.

Dinner was served, and Mr. and Mrs. Reil were presented with flowers and two anniversary cakes.

The Reils spend part of the year in Harlingen, Texas, and the other part in their home on Lake Butte des Morts.
