ALICE GRIES/ROBERT STIEFVATER MARRIAGE

At St. Mary's Church Wednesday morning at ten o'clock, occurred the marriage of Robert Stiefvater and Miss Alice Gries, Rev. Fr. Pollack officiating. The groom was attended by Henry Gries and Joseph Stiefvater and the bride by Clara Stiefvater and Katie Gries. Only relatives were present at the ceremony.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gries, who reside one mile south of this city (Greenwood, Clark County). She has lived in this community for several years and has won the friendship and respect of a large circle of friends.

The groom is not so well known here, although he is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Stiefvater of the Town of Warner. He has followed the occupation of bookkeeper and office assistant several years and is now located with a manufacturing concern at Manitowoc, where the newly weds expect to make their home.

In the evening, following the ceremony, a reception was given at the home of the bride by her parents. Numerous friends and guests were present.
