Humbird (23 November 1967)

Mr. and Mrs. Alton Stallard of Eau Claire spent the weekend here and brought a couple of guests to enjoy a few days hunting.

A group of nine ladies gathered at the home of Mrs. Archie Kirby Friday afternoon to help her celebrate her birthday.

Wayland Hardwick came from Kenosha Friday for a few days hunting, and to visit his mother, Mrs. Elgie Hardwick, but was taken ill and went home Saturday.

Raymond Theiler of Racine came Saturday evening for a few days’ visit at the Will Theiler home.

Joe Rude and son, Tommy, of Port Edwards, called Sunday at the Albert Olson home.

Mrs. Steve Kushneruk and daughter, Stephanie, of Hobart, Ind., came Friday to stay until Monday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Dignin.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Buttke of Milwaukee were guests Saturday at the Ted Polege home. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bornowski and family came to spend the day with her parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Greub of Ames, Ia., came Friday night to spend a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Greub.

Mrs. Clifford Thompson and son of La Crosse were overnight guests Saturday of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sheffer and family.

Mrs. Claire Enerson and Mary Jo of North Branch visited Sunday afternoon at the Arnold Matti home.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Seelow, Richard and Duane and friends from Milwaukee are guests in Mrs. Christine Hanson’s home and have been fortunate in some of them getting their deer.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Adler and little daughter of Eau Claire were dinner guests Sunday of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Adler.

Mrs. Maude Newton was a dinner and afternoon guest Sunday at the Thane Joos home in rural Alma Center.

Ladimer Jarolimek brought his uncle, Joe Horak, home from a checkup at the Veterans Hospital at Hines, Ill. Mr. Jarolimek will remain here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jarolimek, and will do some hunting before returning to Cicero, Ill.

Mrs. Lewis Fitzmaurice and daughter, Mrs. George Michels of rural Alma Center, drove to Eau Claire Monday to see Mr. Fitzmaurice in Sacred Heart Hospital. It is hoped he may soon be home.

Floyd Dunn of Dousman, Don Dunn of Waukesha, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Randalls of Hixton, and Mrs. Hazel Dunn of Black River Falls were supper guests Sunday at the Perle Pickett home.

Al Blank of Milwaukee is a guest at the Rudy Aeschbacher home and is doing a bit of hunting.

Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips and Marion, and their daughter, Harriett, and son, from California, called Thursday night at the Leland Duxbury home.

Mrs. Mary Jenswold called Thursday afternoon at the Frank Jarolimek home.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Crume and her sister, Mrs. Helen Buras of Westby, spent Sunday at the Will Hein home.

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel White Eagle and son called Saturday evening at the Leland Duxbury home. They were enroute from Madison to their home in St. Paul.
