Lynn (15 APR 1915)

Arthur Opelt, accompanied by Dr. Schultz, went to Chicago Monday to undergo an operation.

Walter Sternitzky and wife and baby girl went to Oshkosh Friday to visit her parents and to have their baby, Ruth Marion, christened on Easter Sunday. Walter returned Monday.

Archie Chapman of Omro is here visiting his brother, M.L. Chapman.

Lester Chapman of Marshfield came over to see his uncle and also to visit his father.

Iva Middleton, who has spent the winter with her aunt, Mrs. Wm. Simpson, returned to her home in Indiana Wednesday.

The John Ure family gave a sugar party Saturday night. Everyone had a “sweet” time.

There was a moving picture show at the school house last Thursday night.

Max Opelt went to Marshfield Saturday.

The spelling and arithmetic contests were held in school Dist. No. 1, town of Lynn, Friday, April 2. Those winning in the arithmetic contest were: 1st place, Erna Steinbach, 2nd place, Alfred Riedel, 3rd place, Elmer Becker; in the spelling contest, Hazel Washburn 1st place, Alfred Riedel 2nd place, Gladys Ure 3rd place. The town contest will be held in the school house in Dist. No. 1, Thursday evening, April 22.

Carl Wiertz of Neillsville is here visiting Carl Opelt this week.

Edna Sternitzky came home Sunday after spending several months with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Davidson.
