Augustine, Albert (21 MAY 1892 - 22 JUL 1963)

Funeral services are being held this afternoon, July 25, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the town of Green Grove for Albert Augustine, 71, of route 2, Colby, who died Monday morning at 8 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

The Rev. Jerome Wohlfeil will officiate at the services and at the interment , which will take place at the Green Gove Cemetery.

The Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby is in charge of the arrangements.

Albert William Augustine was born at Atwood in Clark county May 21, 1892, the son of John And Sophie Augustine. He received his education at local schools, and for a few years worked on farms in Clarke County and near Beaver Dam.

On April 7, 1915 he was married at Green Grove to teh former Amanda Conrad, who survives him. The couple lived on a farm in the town of Green Grove since their marriage.

While living in Green Grove, he served on the local school board. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Green Grove.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons and two daughters, Mervin, Elroy and Norman of Colby; Delmar of Curtiss; Mrs. Art (Erma) Schultz of Colby; and Mrs. Isadore (Lucille) Umlauft of Marshfield. There are 13 grandchildren.

Two brothers, John of Owen and Ernest of St. Paul, and a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Sophie) Burkhart of Thorp, are also living. He was preceded in death by a son, Melvin, and two brothers and a sister.
