The literary society will hold their first meeting Friday evening, Sept. 28, 1917. The program committee has arranged a program for the evening, consisting of songs, recitations, and musical selections. The program for the evening is as follows:

Opening address - Clifton Paulson
Song, "Canning the Kaiser: - School
Folk Dance - Primary Number
Address - Mr. White
Scotch Lullaby - Rachel Cole
Melody of Love - Helene Baer
So Long Mother - Rose Kemmeter, Rachel Cole
Joan of Grace - Eva Wegner
Star Spangled Banner - Audience

The program will be followed by a basket social, in which the ladies are asked to bring baskets. The lady bring the basket selling for the highest prices receives a prize. One basket will be given away. The funds are to be used in maintaining the basketball team and buying needed material for the school. Come out, enjoy yourself, ahve a good time, and help the school. Program starts at 8:15.

The new sidewalk leading up to the school building proves a benefit in the rainy weather.

Prof. White is having a rather difficult time getting acquainted with the Sophomore names.

Part of the new library equipment ahs arrived and enables the Physics class to start work in earnest.

A complete set of library supplies has been prdered and will be here in the near future.

The Agricultural class has been studying the importance of the cow testing association and how to build a good dairy herd. Many interesting facts were found about both.
