Wiese, Loretta M. (20 APR 1963)

Marriage vows were repeated between Miss Loretta Marcella Wiese and Carlton Peter Pecher Saturday morning, April 20, 1963, before a nuptial high mass at 11 o'clock at St. Bernard's Catholic Church (Abbotsford). The Rev. Raymond B. Schulz officiated at the ceremony.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Francis Wiese and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pecher, Abbotsford.

For her wedding, the bride chose a street length dress of Rachelle lace designed with a bateau neckline, lowered waist and short, set in sleeves and a gathered skirt over an orchid slipper satin slip. She wore a fingertip nylon tulle veil attached to a crown of lace and sequins. Her bouquet was an arrangement of orchids and white carnations attached to a lover's knot with white streamers.

Miss Kathleen Boris, Route 2, Athens, a cousin of the groom, was the maid of honor, and Miss Audrey Wiese, Abbotsford, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid.

They wore street length dresses made alike with pointed back and pleated skirt of Chiffon over taffeta.

Turquoise was chosen for the maid of honor and daffodil for the bridesmaid, and these colors were repeated with white carnations in the crescent shaped bouquets they carried.

Small, white taffeta flowers detailed their white net hats.

Michael Wiese, Abbotsford, brother of the bride, was best man, and Theodore Calmes(?), route 2, Athens, cousin of the groom, was the groomsman.

Gary Kulas, Abbotsford, nephew of the groom, performed the ushering duties.

For he daughter's wedding, Mrs. Wiese chose a turquoise blue jersey sheath, contrasted with white accessories. Mrs. Pecher wore a dark blue sheath with white accessories. Both mother had corsages of pink and white carnations.

About 50 guests attended the dinner, reception and buffet supper at the Pecher home. Centering the bridal table was a doll dressed identically like the bride and surrounded by flowers in the colors of the attendants' dresses. On the other tables there were bouquets of flower in the same colors.

In the evening, the couple greeted friends at a wedding dance at Trianon Ballroom.

Both young people are graduates of the Abbotsford High School; the groom with the class of 1960 and the bride, the class of 1962.

They are making their home at 318 N. Third Street, Abbotsford.

The groom is employed as mill worker at Frederick Post Co., Owen.

Guests at the wedding came from Milwaukee, Kenosha, Marshfield, Colby, Athens, Owen and Abbotsford.
