Wilbur, George H. age 89, of Edina, Minnesota died at Mt. Olivet Careview Home on September 19, 2008 and was buried at Ft. Snelling Cemetery. He is survived by Mary Lou, his wife of 68 years; two sons, James (Sandra) Wilbur of Londonderry, VT and Thomas (Candyce) Wilbur of Lynn- wood, WA; daughter-in-law, Nancy Wilbur of Edina; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was born in Humbird, Mentor Twp., Clark Co., Wisconsin, the son of Layton and Jennie (Aicher) Wilbur. He moved to Minneapolis in 1937 where he had a successful sales career in the paper industry. He served in WWII and was active in Toastmasters, Masons, Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church and Colonial Church of Edina. He was a gentleman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, avid golfer, bridge player and a man with many friends. If so desired, memorials may be made to Mt. Olivet Careview Home.
